Alumni meet 'Synchrony 2017' organised in the DBCL campus on 25 March 2017

The second alumni meet 'Synchrony 2017' was organised in the DBCL campus for the alumni of Don Bosco Institute of Technology on 25 March 2017. Engineering students from 2005 onwards batches were invited.Around 150 students from the different departments participated the grand-level meet. The event started with a prayer, and a welcome dance by the current students. All the dignitaries were felicitated by senior faculty-members and the Presidents of the students' council.


Fr. Mario presented the welcome note, followed by words of encouragement from Fr. Colbert, Fr. Vivian D’souza and Fr. Cyril. Dr. Krishnamurthy, Principal Advisor, who is also the first principal of DBIT, addressed the assembly, sharing a number of experiences he had with the students and the kind of changes the old students would see on the campus which have taken place since they graduated. The Salesians' presence added to the enthusiasm On the occasion. The Alumin also shared their experiences in DBIT and now in the industry.

An element of fun and entertainment was added by the various cultural performances by the students. The performance of beat-boxing by the students was widely appreciated. Mr. Royal D’souza also organised some games of the participants. Ms. Ditty and Mr. Aman were the anchors of the event. The formal event ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Madhavi, followed by a JAM session and hi-tea.

The old students expressed delight over getting a welcome kit and a ceramic mug to commemorate the occasion. Many old students appreciated the organisers and almost ninety percent of them showed interest in being a part of the old pupils’ association by registering for the same.
