The General Secretary serves as the Student Body and Student Council's primary representative. He/she serves as the college's contact between students and administration. He/she is in charge of coordinating the operations of the student council secretaries and their respective clubs/chapters. A strong work ethic, responsibility, and good leadership, communication, and team-building abilities are required of a general secretary.
DBIT's Technical Secretaries are in charge of intra- and inter-college technical activities, as well as the planning and scheduling of technical events during the academic year. A potential technical secretary must be a strong interpersonal communicator as well as a competent leader. They must be capable of conceptualising and arranging technical programmes and activities which will help students become ready for the corporate world!
A Cultural Secretary is a member of the Student Council's executive body. He/she coordinates the operations of different student-run groups like music clubs, dancing clubs, and so on that fall within the purview of the cultural council. The Cultural Secretary is also in charge of student involvement in intercollegiate events. They give a forum for students to display their skills while also ensuring student participation outside of the classroom.
The Sports Secretaries are in charge of all inter and intra-college sports events. The sports secretaries must successfully plan, coordinate, and carry out the students' sports activities. They should also exhibit traits of a natural leader and a skilled athlete. During their events, the sports secretary should guarantee that all regulations are observed and that discipline is maintained.
The Treasurer is in charge of the Student Councils' funds. S/he should preserve all financial records, distribute monies, and give monthly and yearly accounts of the Student Council's financial situation to the Student Council members. The Treasurer will preside over the budget committee. S/he is the signature officer for all Student Council financial expenditures and reimbursements.
The Marketing Secretaries shape DBIT's image as a flexible organisation. The marketing secretary will collaborate closely with the General Secretary to devise creative methods to develop DBIT as a brand and successfully promote the Student Body's events. The Marketing Secretary will be responsible for updating content on the Student Council Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook pages, as well as other Student Council media. He/she shall keep a record of all Student Council activities and gather reports from the individual Student Council Secretaries for the same.
The Alumni Coordinators will be in charge of planning, organising, and advertising different alumni-related activities in order to develop ties with our college's alumni. An Alumni Coordinator must be proactive and enthusiastic, as well as have strong organisational, communication, relationship-building, and presentation abilities. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with the College Alumni Committee to develop and promote Alumni Events within the College.
