It gives us immense pleasure to take you through a quick tour of the current events, research initiatives, projects undertaken, student achievements, our collaborations and interesting opportunities with us.
This is an exciting time in our department. The early years of our program were characterized by growth, development, and an enduring commitment to help our students attain professional excellence and reach their goals. The experience has been enriching for all the stakeholders. These goals persist even today, and as a result, . we have much to celebrate!
Our faculty members are exceptional! With varied interests and multidisciplinary skills, they are consistently recognized as leaders in their research areas. Their scientific research and theoretical insights have impressive impacts - appearing in top academic journals and securing grants for projects and research. They also mentor students on technological pursuits and personality development aspects.
Our students are extraordinary! We believe they are God’s gift to us and every activity is designed to nurture their learning, the Don Bosco Way. We encourage our students not just in academics but also in sports, literature and other cultural activities. Students are given opportunities to work on research and industry collaboration projects. Critical and analytical thinking abilities are enhanced by including design experiments within the laboratory sessions thus encouraging students to create experiments and taking them through to completion. Students develop leadership qualities and get exposure to upcoming technologies through associations with professional bodies such as IEEE and IETE.
Department Vision
To emerge as a globally recognized program for holistic technical education in the field of electronics and telecommunication engineering.
Department Mission
The department focuses on student development through project activity. To do this, teachers motivate students to carry out project development right from their second year of engineering. The facilities available in all the laboratories can be accessed throughout the working hours of the department.

“Every parent is always worried that in this world full of competition their child should be strong enough to face it. I was happy as jovita got admission in Don Bosco. The environment was so positive. By her hard work and through all the ups and down she completed her engineering and got placed through college in WARTSILA. The college helped her a lot with this with their notes, assignments, software skills and placement training conducted in the campus. I really thank the EXTC department for putting their efforts in my child and also thanks to the TPO for the opportunity.”Thereza Pereira

“The institute was very good at providing good provisions like Labratory, canteen, football ground and also a basketball court. It only had technical events but also had cultural events. This bought a overall development. The teachers are great with students and also took responsibility of arranging PTA meetings so that the Parents understood what the child is lacking. Overall it was a good experience. The placement cell is great too as my kid got into Dyson.”Evita Fernandes
